View from Mizzou: 2010 Homecoming

I have never had school spirit. My SEN10R year of high school I made a valiant attempt to have school spirit and promote spirit week, go some sports matches and the homecoming football game, but it was too little too late.
However, at Mizzou the spirit was contagious. It was evident while just driving around Columbia before reaching the campus that the spirit bug was rampant. Business names were tiger inspired and houses and stores were decked with MU fan flair.
But nothing touched homecoming. It's still hard to describe the air of excitement that surrounded the campus for weeks even before the homecoming weekend. Seeing the whole campus (ResLif, Greek life, student orgs, academic departments and community groups) and town come together to beat OU was priceless. Also, congrats on Johnston/Wholpers Hall for winning 1st place overall in the residential life completion. M-I-Z! Z-O-U!
